Mealey's ( November 25, 2020, 10:33 AM EST) -- RALEIGH, N.C. — A federal judge in North Carolina on Nov. 23 awarded summary judgment to three men who formed a hot dog and barbeque franchise, finding that two area franchisees and an individual franchisee could not establish that they reasonably relied on allegedly misleading statements in the franchise brochure and marketing materials because the documents did not influence the plaintiffs’ decision to enter into franchise agreements (Trident Atlanta LLC, et al. v.
